Neutron volunteers to feed 70 Homeless people on the Downtown East Side

We are very proud of the team at Neutron who volunteered at ‘Plenty of Plates’ last night; they showed up at Save on Meats to prepare, cook, serve and clean up a 3 course meal for 70 homeless people on the downtown east side. This event is put together by Ash and his team at A Better Life Foundation. This is truly a great team building opportunity that directly impacts the lives of our neighbors. Neutron’s involvement last night will result in over 1000 meals being made available to Vancouver’s most vulnerable. Neutron continues to support A Better Life Foundation through volunteering and collaborating with other community focused organizations. Rick Gibbs, President of Neutron sits on their Board of Directors.

Neutron attends Quest Food Exchange’s 10 year Anniversary

On February 07th, Quest Food Exchange hosted their annual Partner Appreciation Event and celebrated their 10th anniversary. Rick Gibbs from Neutron Factory Works MC’d the evening. This year’s event featured an ‘Iron Chef Competition’ involving 4 teams using only products from the market.

The 4 Iron Chef teams were:

  • YVR: Chefs Jake and Erik
  • BC Food Processors Association (BCFPA): Chefs Robin and Dave
  • A Better Life Foundation: Chefs Vanecea and Kadienann
  • Richmond Honda: Chefs Jodie and Brit

Team ‘Better Life’ won the competition but it was a tight race. Neutron continues to support Quest through volunteering, collaboration with the food industry and connecting them with key partners.
